In The Beginning ...

Everyone always asks us about our company name, DAWG®
Doing Away With Grime and how we got started.

Officially Dawg® was founded by Kevin Lacilla in the year 1991 but really began its first operations in 1986. Inspired by his loving labrador, Chaz, the name Dawg® which stands for 'Doing Away With Grime' was born. “Chaz would come to work with me on a daily basis, and the name Dawg® fit perfectly”, said Kevin. “Chaz not only became the company mascot but he became a loyal friend to employees and customers”.

After a lot of hard work, long hours, establishing a more diverse product line and listening to the demands of the marketplace the company began to grow. Establishing relationships with manufacturers of products that people were looking for to keep their workplace clean, safe and in compliance, the Dawg® name began to be recognized in the industry for it's high quality products, affordable prices and exceptional service.

We recently celebrated our 20th anniversary (that's 140 in Dawg years) and we are still going strong.
